So you've hiked a decent distance, you're thirsty and a bit hungry. You're not quite ready to leave the park yet, but your canine friend needs a rest. Where do you go? Well I'll tell you where. The Trails of course!

You'll find it on Fern Dell Drive near the entrance to the park. It's inexpensive, quick and will give your dog water. The setting is serene, there's music playing and they have a vegan menu in addition to hot dogs, grilled cheese, egg sandwiches and of course yummy cookies. They have coffee, yogurt, berries and other comfort foods. My personal favorite is the Avocado sandwich. Their slices of pie are huge, more than enough to share & the coconut scone is different and worth a try. There is no formal seating, benches in the area and mostly standing room. Which is perfect for you to make your way to one of the many grassy, warm, breezy areas on the lawns to lay out your blanket, sit and enjoy your lunch. Definitely worth the stop.

FYI - While they do accept credit cards & cash, they are closed on Mondays.

In walking distance of Griffith Park, The Trails Cafe in Los Feliz serves sandwiches and snacks at a stand by a dog-friendly outdoor eating area. Hikers with dogs frequently come to The Trails for vegetarian, vegan, and non-vegetarian food. The Trails near Griffith Park is closed on Mondays.
