In celebration of the start of Mexican Independence Day & Hispanic Heritage Month Independence we present a special screening of Selena alongside a live performance from local phenom San Cha and her modern pop take on the sounds of Ranchero music with a fantastic lineup of delicious food trucks featuring representation across of Latin-America including tacos, empanadas, arepas, & sweet treats!
Film Synopsis: Based on the true story of Selena, a Texas-born Tejano singer who rose from cult status to performing at the Astrodome, topping the Latin music charts.

ENTRANCE: Enter on Chandler Blvd just west of Tujunga. This is the ONLY entrance.
SEATING/CHAIRS: This location is a sprawling, grassy baseball field. Pillows, cushions and blankets are preferred, though low chairs with low backs are allowed. If you have a tall chair (like a lawn chair or camping style chair more than 6 inches off the ground) you will be required to sit outside the center of the venue, which is marked with signs on both the left & right side of the venue. There is ample room for chairs, so please don't block the view of the person(s) behind you.
PARKING: There is on street parking (both free and metered) and parking in a few different Recreation Center lots. There is a pay lot on Lankershim behind the Laemmle Theatre and a surface parking lot behind the Federal Bar as well as the Metro parking lot.
METRO/PUBLIC TRANSPORT: You can also take the Metro Red Line to North Hollywood Station.
