A friend of mine suggested Four Cafe on a beautiful Monday mid-morning. Since Miley and I had completed our errands for the day, I figured "Why not"! The first thing you notice upon arrival is that there's plenty of parking, which in most metropolises is an anomaly. The second thing you'll notice is the really cute restaurant you're about to enter. They are located centrally in the Fairfax District, right near The Grove.

Let's begin with the level of service received. Well, well, well finally a restaurant that understands customer service and just how far it goes. Very friendly service, accurate and consistent. They offer an extensively creative menu and all choices are not only healthy, but very tasty also. There is a diverse assortment of salads, soups and sandwiches. All of which I'd love to eventually try - and most likely will at some point.

The ambiance is a balanced mix of industrialist and minimalist which is PERFECT for me, while still maintaining great design and warmth through flowers placed on every table. You can choose for the indoors or outdoors seating and fido is welcome at both.

The food, let's be honest, this is why you come here. A few of my favorites would have to be the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. Served on cibatta bread, plenty of fresh ingredients accompanied by a generous side of greens. The salad dressings are obviously homemade and compliment. I had the Rosemary lemonade, which was both flavorful and refreshing. I splurged on desert and had the Lavender-Chocolate Tart . . . Oh Em Geeeeee, wow was it worth the extra time at the gym!

I found prices to be reasonable and consistent with L.A. in addition to afterwards you are close enough to take advantage of touring the museums, LaBrea Park area or The Grove (which is also pet friendly). In the end, the food was delectable, the location very convenient and the service / ambiance wonderful. See you there!
