Hiking with your dog can be a great bonding experience and can also provide great exercise. Tired of taking your dog on mundane walks around the block? Try a scenic day hike and experience all that nature has to offer. Just watch out for poison ivy. Most dogs won’t get it, but they can transfer it to you! So get outside, sniff that fresh air, and wag that tail! Do you love leaving the comfort of domesticated life and getting back to the wild for a day or two? Well, so does your pup – and to the surprise of many, most campgrounds are dog friendly. The only thing that can warm your feet up better than the campfire is the dog lying on top of them while you try to sleep! It's always a good idea to call ahead before you bring your dog as conditions can change, such as wildlife habitat protection, re-vegetation and other projects.
