It's reare that Seamus and I make it out to this part of LA, but we sure were glad to check out this great dog park in Pasadena. It is set in a neighborhood park back behind a playground that you drive past and then there is a good sized parking area. The dog park itself is a really good sized space and had more grass than I have seen at any dog park in Los Angeles. The really great thing is they close off half of the park to accomidate re-seeding of the lawn, but it still allows for plenty of space. The small dog area is the size of some regular dog parks I have seen. Plenty of water options and quite a few benches with some shade to watch your pooch from. We were in the big dog area and there was at least 30 dogs running around and all having fun, the little dog area had at least that many dogs as well, but the liitle ones were pretty feisty! We were there on a Sunday so that may explain why it was so busy, but all the dogs and owners seemed to get along nicely. We will come back again to this great park.

Best dog park around my area. Lots of grass so the dogs can play vs. other locations with hardly to no grass. Not a lot of seating area, so bring a chair (it might get peed on). There are plenty of waste bags in locations to pick up after your pet. Area is separated between small and large dogs. The for larger dogs is a lot larger. Dogs have been known to fight here so be sure to keep a good eye on your dog. Usually around 6pm, there is no parking, park on the street as area is usually monitored by Pasadena police.

Alice’s Dog Park, within Viña Vieja Park, is located on East Orange Grove, a few blocks east of Sierra Madre Blvd. It features a 2 ½ acre, grassy area for large dogs and a one acre grassy area for small and special-need dogs. Both areas have double-gated entries, countered hills, trees, benches, water – and tons of space for your best pal to run and romp.
