Discover a unique, community-driven approach to dog training with Body and Mind K9’s Group Class. Designed for dog owners seeking to build a strong bond with their pet, BAMK9’s classes are more than just obedience sessions – they're an opportunity to connect with other dog enthusiasts while building life skills for your canine friend. Unlike traditional training methods, we prioritize nurturing the bond between you and your dog, fostering a harmonious life together. Our classes offer a safe haven for learning, socialization, and overcoming common challenges, all while creating lasting connections with fellow dog lovers.
What to Expect
1. Our hour-long group class sessions consist of approximately 45 minutes of engaging training and 15 minutes of valuable interaction. During this time, you'll have the opportunity to discuss any training concerns, get recommendations on pet supplies, and connect with fellow pet parents.
2. Your dog's training experience is personalized within a group setting. Our unique approach utilizes toys, treats, tools, and motivation tailored to your dog's preferences and needs.
3. During class, dogs will remain on leash to facilitate safe socialization. Owners can interact and collaborate while their dogs engage in parallel activities, creating a harmonious learning environment.
4. While there are no handouts provided during group class, you can always book a private session for more in-depth training specific to your dog's needs.
What to Bring
Bring tempting treats, we recommend a high-value treat like freeze-dried beef liver along with your dog's food. A variety of reinforcers will keep training exciting and rewarding.
Ensure your dog is on a 6-foot flat leash – retractable and bungee leashes aren't suitable for class. Choose the gear that your dog typically wears (e.g., flat collar, harness), and we can adjust as needed.
Water for your dog is essential; please avoid sharing water bowls to maintain a healthy environment. Make sure you stay hydrated as well! You'll be actively participating, so have a water bottle on hand.
