Family Tradition Since 1977!

Our story begins when Mary & Robbs started as a soda shop counter within the old Super Drugs on Westwood Blvd. in the early 1950s. In the late 1960s, it moved to a full service restaurant a few blocks away. Then, it relocated to next to Super Drugs in 1977, where it stands now.

The current owner, David Hekmat, was dining in the restaurant in July of 1979 for a business meeting, when the owner who knew David’s guest approached him and told him that he wanted to sell the restaurant.

David, who loved the ambiance of the restaurant, with its high ceilings and natural red wood that reminded him of his college years at NYU, made an offer to purchase the restaurant. Within a month, he was the new owner of Mary & Robbs.

Since that time, Mary & Robbs’ friendly staff has provided heartwarming service and food to the local Westwood community, where servers greet our customers by their first name and regulars feel right at home. Through our dedication and commitment to the community, we have developed a loyal entourage of regular customers from locals to business executives and celebrities – and now, its your turn to finally join in our tradition.

We are a cozy family-style neighborhood coffee shop offering high quality All-American food, including a wide variety of salads, sandwiches, all-natural burgers, steaks and daily fresh fish. We also proudly serve breakfast all day – including breakfast for dinner! Most of Mary & Robbs’ employees have been with us for over 20 years. They are truly a part of our family, along with our many valued and loyal customers.
