When I first relocated to L.A. I read a little about some of the open areas of the city that would allow Miley to accompany me. I live near Plummer Park, but had read how "sketchy and shady" the clientele were in that area. Boy were they wrong! I mean, I'm sure if you go at 2 am in the morning you are going to encounter someone up to no good, but I'm strictly referencing the daylight hours. I went as any good parent would, by myself to check out the area. This is what I observed: a clean playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, decent kept bathrooms and it's located hidden in a neighborhood! Right off Santa Monica Boulevard. Go figure, a best kept secret that mostly only the locals and those who Yelp know about.

The next week I took Miley since they allow dogs and she had a blast. The children's area is gated and it was a weekday so no one was there. I closed the gate and left her off lead. She loved it! Even though she followed me around as if she were on a leash lol. The park is clean, obviously kept up and it's rather large. Larger than I had anticipated. It met all my requirements for fun and it's safe and close. It works for Miley and Me.
