About this event
Wallis Annenberg PetSpace invites you and your dog to join us for our obedience training class. These four, one-hour classes are designed for dogs that are comfortable with new dogs and people and want to improve their manners.

Take your training to the next level with our Advanced Obedience Class using fun games and challenges to reinforce our dogs training skills.

Our Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Katie McGuire, CDBC, CPDT-KA, will help your four-legged friend learn a host of new tricks and behaviors.

- Perfect stays for real life scenarios
- Develop a solid come when called
- Build a foundation for competitive dog sports or doing more activities with your dog

Mutt Manners Advanced Dog Training also introduces exercises that are further explored in the Canine Good Citizenship test. These include:

- Accepting a friendly stranger (allowing a person to approach dog and handler)
- Sitting politely for petting
- Appearance and grooming (ability to be handled; brushed, paws lifted, etc.)
- Walking on a loose leash
- Walking through a crowd
- Sit & Down on command and staying in place
- Coming when called
- Reaction to another dog (ability to approach another dog and handler without pulling, jumping, etc.)
- Reaction to distraction (visual or auditory distraction is presented; dog must be able to recover without showing aggression or extreme fear)
- Supervised separation (ability for dog to be separated from handler without showing aggression or extreme fear)
