We got our adult dog, Rosie, from here, and we couldn't be happier. She's perfect, and we never expected to get her.
This is a rescue service people--a lot of dogs who need to be rescued have problems, including trauma, anxiety and abandonment issues. Rosie struggles with these, but with the right person and a lot of love, I see how she is improving our time. Also, poodles require a lot of attention plus expenses such as grooming and possible dental work, so be prepared for that.
Anyway, the organization was super clear about goals, expectations, and fitting her with the right kind of home for her, so do expect the process to take 1-2 months if not longer.
I never had a dog before (though my partner had), and now I can't imagine my life without this poodle who follows me everywhere.
